Hi. I am a crazy cat lady who loves books, documentaries and graphic design. That’s pretty normal, right?

Here’s something less normal: I was working as a UX designer in Jacksonville, Florida until my apartment was destroyed in a hurricane. Good job, nature!

Feeling the literal winds of change knocking on my door, I packed up my two cats and a few remaining possessions and headed to Washington state at the tail end of 2017. I’m told they don’t “do” hurricanes here, which is reassuring.

Let’s grab a businessy coffee and I can tell you why I’m quick on my feet during both floods and work situations.

Let’s make it happen.

I like what I do.

At age 12, I created my first website. It was Pokémon satire news (nerrrd), where I manipulated photos from the cartoon and wrote my own copy. Although I can guarantee I only had a handful of visitors, I quickly picked up on the thrill of crafting ideas into reality.

I love taking ideas from that small, fragile conception stage to a place where they’re living, breathing realities. Every bit of the journey is valuable; building experiences for people is the kind of thing that makes me come alive.

Call it what you want: design, UX, content creation; all of these things fit into my passion for crafting something from nothing…and making it beautiful, usable and engaging in the process.
