Earbuds + children’s hospital ad campaign

Overview:

Skullcandy—a company that primarily designs and sells a colorful array of headphones—teamed up with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for an ad campaign that would benefit both parties.

Challenge:

The challenge was to create a colorful ad campaign that would build brand awareness and loyalty for both Skullcandy and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Solution:

The resulting design is a bright, interactive set of ads that feature a pop-up element, giving the campaign a story-like atmosphere that aligns with the two-part imagery and headlines. The spaces behind the pop-ups reveal QR-codes that would take users to a social-media tie-in, such as a microsite encouraging tweets or Facebook interaction in exchange for coupons/donations.
